A Word of Worth

Introducing: A – All My Issues

December 31, 2016  /  Holly Bentley

This post idea came to me when I was with a wonderful group of women, who have been huge supporters, encouragers and reality checkers in my life.  I am honored to call these lovelies my friends. Even if you have no religious affiliation or your affiliation differs from mine, I know that you will be able to relate to me on this post series in some way.  I am just going to set it up for you so you understand where my head was at when the idea came.  Basically I was with these women in our bible study and we had an exercise where we were supposed to fill out a characteristic of God for each letter of the alphabet A-Z.  I…was not paying attention, fail.  So I thought we were supposed to fill in our personal areas that we struggle with that God is working on in our lives (clearly not paying attention at all, as that was not at all the directive).  I took a deep breath because honestly I felt I could fill out several alphabets with all my issues I needed to work on.  For the letter A, I put "A-All My Issues".  As I wrote it down I said it out loud, fortunately the girls in my group think I am hilarious and did start laughing.  Ever since then, and it has been a running joke with my group.  Alas, it really is not a joke so much as truth in all of our lives at this point.

In the spirit of “A-All My Issues”, I will be running a blog series on my issues A-Z.  So I will rotate one post from this series with other standalone posts so that I can give you all a break from all my issues and talk about, well probably more of my issues just in a different form. I hope you enjoy this series and get a get a good laugh at least!

Dedication: All the lovely, Godly females in my small group (small group: a bible study that really is a life support group where you meet really amazing people, who you can be real and honest with) circa Spring 2016.  So thankful you are all as messed up as I am! ;)  I praise the Lord for you ladies, this post most definitely would not exist without you appreciating and encouraging my humor!
